We’re in a world where global warming is continuing to cause major disruption to our weather patterns. Winters are becoming milder, with more rain than snow, flooding is now a common feature on the news each Spring and Autumn across all areas of the UK.
POMPA™ by The Flood Pump Company was conceptualised, designed and built out of absolute necessity for the world we live in today. Founder and CEO Neil Turnbull crafted a solution to the numerous requests he was receiving from associates who lived in areas which flooded time and again.
Many properties he was seeing were built on dense clay substrate, meaning that the rain which fell couldn’t disperse particularly easily. Others were on low ground, where the rain from higher areas filtered down through. And things were getting worse year on year as the rainier seasons threw down more rain which still went nowhere.
Ultimately after a series of iterative improvements to the design, POMPA™ was born and brought to market.
